Operational models

Crossdocking

The air crossdocking model enables the transfer of goods between import, export, and international transit operations with minimal time spent in the warehouse. Air-freight cargo is processed, sorted, and prepared to quickly continue its journey through the logistics network.

Inventory management and order preparation

The air cargo splitting model allows for the deconsolidation of shipments received by air for subsequent nationalization, local distribution, export, or international redistribution.

From a consolidated shipment, goods are segregated, identified, and prepared according to the commercial and customs requirements of each operation. This allows, for example, a single received shipment to be split to supply customers in Uruguay through definitive importation, or to be redistributed to different countries under transit or export regimes.

Applications:

  • Partial or full nationalization of import cargo.
  • Local distribution within Uruguay.
  • Regional redistribution from the Free Airport.
  • Consolidation of new export shipments.
  • Cargo segmentation by client, destination, or market.

Direct-to-patient operations

The Direct-to-patient (DTP) model enables medicines, medical devices, or specialized treatments to be prepared and shipped directly to each patient from a regional logistics center, bypassing traditional distribution channels.

This approach is particularly used for high-value therapies, rare diseases, oncology, biologic treatments, and special access programs, where traceability, temperature control, and the patient experience are critical.

The model combines individualized order management, storage under controlled conditions, regulatory compliance, and coordination of local, regional, or international transportation, ensuring that each treatment reaches the right patient, at the right time, and under the required conditions to preserve its quality and efficacy.
